Endobronchial Optical Coherence Tomography (EB-OCT)

  • Low-risk, bronchoscope-compatible imaging technique.
  • Images large lung tissue volumes (~ 10 cm) in vivo with microscopic resolution (~10 µm).
  • EB-OCT catheter is advanced through the working channel of a bronchoscope to the subpleural lung.
  • Volumetric datasets consisting of cross-sectional images are obtained by helical scanning and pullback of EB-OCT catheter.
